    The Maritime Museum on Curaçao presents the maritime history of the island from the past 500 years. There al several exhibitions, ship models and original maps of the maritime history.

    These authentic items are combined with audio and visual equiptment. Besides this exhibition, the museum has an exhibition including a working mini refinery. Every Wednesday and Saturday at 01.00 PM you can attent a demonstration of this mini refinery.

    Besides the exhibitions in the museum, you can also take a boat trip through the harbor. These three tours are led by a guide, but it is also possible to visit the museum by yourself.

    Kura Hulanda Museum is the museum with the largest African collection of the Caribbean. The museum is at the place were the African slaves used to be trade. Therefore is of course a great attention to the African slave trade and how this took place.

    The museum shows how the African culture and the society of Curaçao is affected forever. Next to the permanent exhibition, there is also always a temporary exhibition that connects to themes and interests of the public.

    Fancy an evening at the theater or a workshop? Come to Teatro Luna Blou. A multifunctional theater center in Otrobanda, Willemstad. There are various dance, music and theater acts.

    The theater is played by actors of Curaçao and the Netherlands and increades in Dutch or Papiamentu. Furthermore, the theater and several workshops are given cultural-educational programs for young people.

    Its it also possible to organize a party or meeting in the theater.

    The Movies is the only cinema in Punda. It doesn't look very modern on the outside, but inside it's just sleek, modern and colorful decorated. The Movies has spacious seats and enough leg space to make sure that you completely submerged into the movie.

    There are no breaks between the films so make sure you have enough popcorn before the movie starts! Every Tuesday and Wednesday, is the campaign 'two tickets get one free', even for 3D movies!

    The Cinemas is the cinema located in Otrabanda. It is a modern cinema with an American look.  You can come see the latest movies at The Cinemas. On the website you can see which films are currently rotated and which movies are coming next. This information can also be found on the large signs on the facade of the building.

    Every Tuesday and Wednesday, is the campaign ‘two tickets get one free’, even for 3D movies!

    Hato Caves

    The Hato Caves are naturally formed centuries ago, and are 4900 square meters long. Before the Europeans came to Curaçao, the caves were inhabited by Indians. The 1500 year old drawings which the Indians made are still visible on the walls

    After these Indians, the caves were inhabited by runaway slaves who sometimes managed to survive for months. The caves exists mainly out of stalagmites and stalactites, and there are even some underground waterfalls.

    The cave tours are led by a professional guide.

    Curaçao has an Aloë Vera plantation were they havest this medicinal plant.

    You can take a look yourself with one of the Aloë Vera guided tours. If you’re lucky, it’s time for the plants to harvest so you can see this project from up close.

    The plantation has a factory where the plant is processed immediately. Many of the Aloë gel is exported. But the gel of CurAloë  plant proces them to pure natural skin products. These skin care products are for sale in the souvenir shop at the plantation.

    Shete Boka

    The north coast of Curaçao is the wild side of the island.
    Shete Boka is ten kilometers long on the northern coast and is a protected nesting ground for three different types of turtles.

    Shete Boka is known for his seven coves or bays where you can admire the rough sea. The most famous spot of the park is the Boka Tabla, a cave where the sea storms inside. The forces of nature deliver spectacular moments!

    Christoffel Park

    The Christoffel Park in Curaçao is a large nature reserve of nearly 2000 hectares. The park has the most varied flora and fauna of Curaçao. You will not discover most of the plants and animals anywhere else on the island.

    The park is also known for its Christoffel Mountain, the highest point of the island. The mountain is 377 meters high.
    If you are planning to go climb the mountain, do it early in the morning when it is still a bit cool!

    Spanisch Water

    The Spanisch water is a beautiful, protected lagoon at the south-east coast of Curaçao, with an entrance to the Caribbean sea.
    On the north side there are many bays and small islands were animals such as fish, little turtles and pelicans live.

    The calm salt water lagoon is a perfect place to practice watersports like sailing, wakeboarding and kayaking. While looking at the beautiful villas, the ‘Tafelberg’ and the mangroves.
